These terms and conditions outline the guidelines for purchasing products and services from our business. By engaging with Hambo’s Homemaker Centre, you agree to these terms. We encourage you to read them carefully before making any purchase or commitment.

About Our Business

Hambo’s Homemaker Centre (ABN 24 686 862 993) is a supply company specialising in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and wardrobes. We are owned and operated by Jess and Locky Larfield, serving Toowoomba and the surrounding Darling Downs region for over 15 years. Our showroom is located at Unit 2, 15 Freighter Avenue, Wilsonton QLD 4350.

Please note that we are a supply-only business for renovation products. We do not provide installation or building services. Where installation is required, we can recommend independent, licensed tradespeople.

Products and Services

We supply a comprehensive range of products for kitchen, bathroom, laundry and wardrobe projects, including custom cabinetry, benchtops, vanities, tapware, tiles, showers, baths, toilets, LED mirrors, appliances and more. All kitchens are made-to-order, allowing for customised sizing to suit accessibility requirements including wheelchair-friendly designs.

Our services focus on supplying high-quality kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and wardrobe products, including in-showroom consultations, colour selection guidance, detailed quoting, and ordering of your chosen products. We can provide recommendations for independent, licensed trades if installation is required.

Quotations and Pricing

All quotations provided by Hambo’s Homemaker Centre are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of consultation and may be subject to change if project specifications are altered.

We offer free consultations and quotes for all kitchen and bathroom projects. Our pricing reflects our commitment to providing warehouse prices with family service—quality products without unnecessary markups.

Payment Terms

Kitchen Orders: A 50% deposit is required before your kitchen order can be placed with our suppliers. The remaining balance must be paid in full before delivery or collection of your order. We accept payment via cash, EFTPOS, credit card and direct bank transfer.

Supply-Only Purchases: Products purchased as supply-only items (such as tapware, vanities, tiles, toilets and accessories) are available for immediate purchase from our showroom. Full payment is required at the time of purchase.

Custom and Made-to-Order Items: All custom cabinetry and made-to-order products require the deposit structure outlined above. These items are manufactured specifically for your project and cannot be cancelled or returned once production has commenced.

Project Variations and Changes

We understand that plans can evolve during the design process. Any changes to your project must be communicated and confirmed before final plans are approved. Once final plans have been signed off and orders placed with suppliers, any subsequent changes will be treated as a variation.

Variations require a new order to be placed and may incur additional costs and extended timeframes. To avoid delays and additional expenses, we encourage you to finalise all design decisions during the colour selection and quoting stages of your project.

Estimated Timeframes

Typical product delivery times are approximately six to eight weeks for kitchens and four to six weeks for bathroom products, depending on supplier lead times and customisation. These estimates may vary based on product availability and manufacturing requirements.

Please note that Hambo’s is a supply-only business and does not provide installation services. Any installation work is arranged and managed directly by the trades you engage. We can provide recommendations for independent, licensed trades if needed, but Hambo’s is not responsible for their timelines or work.

Warranties and Guarantees

Warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer. Specific warranty information will be provided at the time of purchase for each product. We stand behind the quality of the products we supply and will assist with any warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these terms. Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees as to acceptable quality, fitness for purpose and correspondence with description.

Delivery and Collection

Delivery can be arranged for an additional fee depending on your location within our service area. Alternatively, products may be collected from our showroom by appointment. You are responsible for inspecting goods upon delivery or collection and reporting any damage or defects within 48 hours.

Large items such as cabinetry and benchtops require appropriate access and handling arrangements. Please ensure adequate space and assistance is available for delivery or collection of bulky items.

Trade Referrals

We do not provide installation services. If needed, we can recommend independent, licensed tradespeople for plumbing, tiling, electrical, or cabinet installation. Hambo’s is not responsible for their work, conduct, or any disputes that may arise. We strongly recommend obtaining written quotes and confirming insurance coverage directly with any trades you engage.

Returns and Refunds

Non-Custom Items: Unused, unopened products in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase for store credit or exchange, subject to a 15% restocking fee. Proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Custom and Made-to-Order Items: Custom cabinetry, made-to-order products and cut-to-size materials cannot be returned or refunded once production has commenced. Please ensure all measurements and specifications are confirmed before placing your order.

Faulty Products: Products found to be faulty or not as described will be replaced, repaired or refunded in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery or collection if you identify any issues.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hambo’s Homemaker Centre’s liability for any claim arising from the supply of goods or services is limited to the replacement, repair or refund of the affected products or services.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental damages including loss of use, loss of profits or project delays arising from matters outside our reasonable control.

Privacy

We collect personal information to process your orders, provide quotes and communicate about your project. Your information is handled in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles and is not shared with third parties except as necessary to fulfil your order or as required by law.

Service Area

Hambo’s Homemaker Centre services Toowoomba and the surrounding Darling Downs region including Gatton, Laidley, Forest Hill, Grantham, Helidon, Withcott, Cambooya, Clifton, Crows Nest, Goombungee, Greenmount, Millmerran, Oakey, Pittsworth and Yarraman. Delivery fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Changes to Terms

Hambo’s Homemaker Centre reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
